FARBEN Automatic Watering System was established in year 2005. It specializes in development, manufacture and distribution of small household equipment and automation systems to enhance the modern lifestyles.

Within a short period of 3 years, Farben has evolved into a supplier of a complete range of automatic garden watering products spanning from just a very simple balcony set to complex system for vertical and horizontal landscapes and for commercial scale applications e.g. farms, parks and bungalows. Farben systems also come complete with a fertigation set added on as part of the system.

Farben products are now distributed in Malaysia as well as exported to other countries.

Product Development and Marketing Chronology of Events:

Aug 2006	-	Development of Auto Balcony/ Patio Set using 1mm micro tubing commence.
May 2007	-	Manual/ Auto Patio / balcony set launched through featuring in NTV7.
Jul 2007	-	Product featured in the Star Newspaper under "lifestyle".
Sep 2007	-	The garden set featuring 20mm PE tubing and standing mist sprinklers was launch to cater for bungalows.
Oct 2007	-	Product featured in Home Finder Magazine.
Nov 2007	-	Adjustable drippers with valve added to the garden set for large potted plants.
Nov 2007	-	The first version of underground system using static pop-up sprinklers was added to the product range.
Dec 2007	-	Hanging type sprinklers - mist type introduced for green houses and orchid sheds.
Jan 2008	-	Mechanized installation techniques for underground piping developed. Underground pipes can be installed in matured lawns without any obvious signs of damage after the installation.
Feb 2008	-	Non leaking joints for 1mm micro tubes introduced. This joint can withstand water pressure of up to 4 bars.
Feb 2008	-	Fogging spray heads introduced for orchid gardens.
Apr 2008	-	Coco sprinklers was introduced for shrubs and tree watering.
Apr 2008	-	The underground pop-up system was enhanced with the addition rotational pop up sprinklers with spray range of 12m radius, adjustable from 45 deg to 360 deg rotation.
May 2008	-	Portable Tank system watering system Auto/ manual gravity system for offices and balconies introduced for UK market.
May 2008	-	Garden Set using flexible hoses introduced principally for the DIY market in UK.
June 2008	-	Commercial set launched. This system can irrigate 300 - 500 bags/ potted plants through a single timer.
Oct 2008	-	1 mm micro-tubes introduced for hanging pots. New compression joints for 1mm tubes can withstand 4 bar pressure
Dec 2008	-	Introduced 1/2" MDPE tubing that can connect directly to 4mm or 1 mm tubes at anywhere along the 1/2" tube. This can withstand 4 bar pressure. This has reduced costs for watering hedges, flower beds and pots.
Feb 2009	-	Manual / Auto fertigation device that injects fertilizer into the watering system.
July 2009	-	Launch fertigation kit for vegetable growing in flower pots - an alternative to home hydroponics kit for vegetable growing.
Sept 2009	-	New variations for stand misting sprinklers. 45, 180 deg and side spray type are now available.
Oct 2009	-	Miniature stand single head foggers for narrow flower beds are available.
Nov 2009	-	Fertilizer distribution system distribute through the same Automatic watering system.

FARBEN AUTOMATIC WATERING SYSTEM
has revolutionized the auto watering system through the following:

• Introduction of 1mm micro tubing to revolutionize watering of hanging plants. These tubes can hardly be seen, thus a very attractive proposition for hanging plants, potted and indoor plants.
• Introduction of HDPE underground tubing enables a system that last 30 years.
• Use of tube joints that can withstand high pressure without leaks due to aging of plastic.
• A system of manifolds where all secondary tubing is pressure controllable through valves. Therefore the system can cater for many different types of water dispensing outlets. This allows catering a complex landscape with a single system.
• Farben systems can functions WITHOUT PUMPS. Pressure from the water supply mains is adequate. That negates the use of pumps and water tanks as required by most standard systems. It saves costs space and maintenance costs.
• Introduction of 1/2" MDPE tubes where joints can be inserted anywhere to connect direct to 4mm and 1mm tubes. The joints can withstand 4 bar and with this breakthrough, it is now possible drive mist sprinklers as compared to rotating sprinklers for traditional systems.
• Farben Automatic Watering Systems run at higher pressure and they are therefore higher capacity and more effective.
• Farben Automatic Watering Systems allow staggered watering for different areas. This can potentially reduce the pump size and main tubing size by up to a factor of 20 times.

New Development in the pipeline:

• Mosquito repellent dispenser in gardens. This system knocks out all mosquitoes in the garden
• Grey water recovery for use in watering plant in water scarce places such as Middle East countries and Australia
